To Be Successful , Always surround yourself with great people

A coaching staff is a relationship between two or more coaches working toward a common goal. Mutual respect, cooperation, trust and transparency often set the tone for success . The bonds built between coaches often last a life time. I have listed over seventy coaches that have had a positive influences on my life and I have learned and benefited from each one of them. Coaching is rewarding in so many different ways . I have been blessed to cross paths with these great men and women.....

COACH MILTON BUTTS: All-American football player North Carolina Central University. Formal NFL Football Star. One of the top active high school coaches in NC. Head Coach Hoke County High School. One of the two winningest coaches in EE Smith High School football history, the other being the late , great DT. Carter. I had the pleasure of being his assistant coach .. Great coach , Great friend and a super person.

LONNIE McALLISTER: Retired High School principal. Retired Fayetteville State University Faculty member. I had the opportunity to serve as his basketball coach at EE. Smith high school , best principal I ever had. A great person and a good friend.

TONY BILLINGLEA: My Assistant varsity head coach for 9 years. Guidence counselor , teacher, minister and brother. A man with a heart of gold. He coached with love and compassion. He is a great person and a best friend. He was the good half of our good cop , bad cop coaching tandem.

JOHN SMITH: Formal college teammate , my formal athletic director and retired high school principal. John hired me at EE. Smith and most of my success came from his support and motivation. A great administrator , a talented man and a good friend.

DEE HARDY: Formal Student ( I taught her 9th grade health). All- Conference at EE Smith in Volleyball and basketball. All-Conference at Pembrook State University. Pembrook State University Hall of Fame. One of the winningest active basketball coaches in N.C. Head Womens basketball and Volleyball coach at EE. Smith going into her 21st year. Good coach and a great person.

TRAVIS ADAMS, My assistant coach 1994 - 95. Former head coach Northwest Halifax Fayetteville State Basketball Most Valuable Player , All-CIAA. Travis is a brilliant and outstanding coach that knows how to teach the game. He is a good friend and a great person.

TOMMY McALLISTER: The big man.. high school classmate. Assistant basketball coach for 9 years. He was always there for me. A great guy , my friend and my brother. He is one of the most dependable persons I have ever known.

BUYING A CORVETTE

The purchasing a car is generally one of the biggest and most involved decisions that people have to make. Buying a Corvette is extra-important because chances are good that you're making a substantial cash investment, and a Corvette isn't just a grocery-getter. Your Corvette is a special purchase, and you want it to be a decision you can look back on with pride .

So, how do you buy a Corvette? How do you know you're making the right purchase decision?

The short answer is that you can never be absolutely certain, but there are things you can do to make sure you have the best possible shot at making a good decision. The best way to start the Corvette buying process is with research and reflection. Ultimately, you'll have to attend to practical matters but right now, just let your imagination run free. Get yourself a book about Corvettes or read the Corvette history pages here and around the Internet. Chances are good that you've already got a good idea of your dream Corvette, or you will find that one era of Corvette speaks to you more than the others. The point of the exercise is to narrow down your search to a range of several year corvette and a certain corvette body style - maybe with a list of desired features. Ask yourself if you really want an automatic or manual transmission corvette , do you want a car to modify and race, or just a classic corvette cruiser? Perhaps most importantly, do you plan to do a lot of restoration work to make this Corvette truly your own creation, or do you want a turn-key corvette "new car" experience?
